The artist

Twenty years of folk songs, now on London’s wedding stages

Adasu Koçkaya began a music career in 1998–99 with the album “Adasu Koçkaya Engin Müzik”, then trained for years with vocal coach Kerem Özdemir.

Television appearances on ATV and TGRT, stages from Istanbul and Ankara to Cologne and Switzerland, and live evenings at a London restaurant in 2002–2003 led to today’s repertoire of Turkish, Kurdish and Zazaki folk songs at weddings across London.
